Our Pilates Classes

Pilates is a low-impact, core-based system of exercises created by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th Century. It was designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, posture and enhance mental awareness. Workouts are typically performed on the floor with a mat or with the use of a special apparatus.

During our sessions, we will emphasize the six principles of Pilates: concentration, control, centering, flow, precision, and breath.

Session types:
Private (one-on-one), duets (two people), and small groups.

Our Classes

Special classes are available on request.

Reformer class
The reformer is a special piece of equipment built like a bed frame that consists of a platform moving along a carriage track. The resistance comes from the person’s body weight and from springs that connect the platform to the carriage.

Because of the moving carriage and springs, you get double the workout: you face resistance on the way in and the way out for every movement. The reformer is the most well-known of the Pilates equipment, and it provides a great full-body workout.

Tower/Mat class
The Tower is a vertical unit that uses various attachments (bars and springs) to provide a full-body workout.

We convert the Reformer into a Tower by connecting two mat pieces to create a longer mat. The attachments help create resistance to challenge your body.

Reformer/Tower class
The Reformer/Tower class is a combination of the Reformer and Tower classes. You will spend 25 minutes working out on each apparatus.

Reformer/JumpBoard class
The Reformer/JumpBoard class is a combination of Reformer and Cardio using the JumpBoard. The JumpBoard is a piece of equipment that is attached to the foot bar. This class works your abs and legs and gets your heart pumping. Try it; it’s fun!

Bone and Joint Health

The bone and joint health class focuses on strength training, bone strengthening, and balance techniques. This class is safe for those with Osteoporosis.
